MOTION 1: Research projects in line with our mission statement
QAPMH supports research geared toward improving mental health services for pregnant and postpartum people and their families.
MOTION 2: Evaluation criteria adapted from CIHR
Evaluation based on a rating scale (1 to 5) adapted from https://cihr-irsc.gc.ca/e/49564.html#4.2
4.5 – 5: The proposal excels in all aspects (rationale, methodology, clinical impact). Any short-comings are minimal.
4.0 – 4.4: The proposal excels in at least 2 relevant aspects (e.g. rationale and methodology) and reasonably addresses the third (e.g. clinical impact).
3.5 – 3.9: The proposal excels in at least one relevant aspect, and reasonably addresses the two others. Some improvements are necessary.
3.0 – 3.4: The proposal broadly addresses relevant aspects. Major revisions are required as the proposal has many limitations.
0.0 – 2.9: The proposal fails to provide convincing information and/or has serious inherent flaws or gaps.
MOTION 3: Extent of the support provided
If score is 4.5 and above: Letter of support provided, with detailed plan for knowledge mobilization drafted by QAPMH members
If score is 4.0 and above: Letter of support provided, but no detailed plan for knowledge mobilization needs to be drafted by QAPMH members
If score is between 3 to 4: No letter of support provided, but proposal can be resubmitted to QAPMH after revision
If score is below 3: No letter of support provided and no resubmission possible.
